Third series of engine combustion tests at the Taiki Aerospace Research Field

- We conducted a third series of engine combustion tests at the Taiki Aerospace Research Field in Hokkaido, from October 27 through November 14. The 90-second-duration combustion tests at that time confirmed that the engine performance corresponded to all design values, and that the engine start sequence, afterburner operation, and nozzle control were all normal. And by filling liquid hydrogen into the airframe fuel tank, JAXA verified the functionality of the total system, including the mockup airframe.
